Once you’ve finished perusing the history books, head to the botanical gardens. This 2.2 acre garden houses succulents of all varieties, a Japanese garden area, a tea garden and more. With the sights and smells of so many botanicals, you’ll be overwhelmed with the beauty of it all.
Surf at the Wedge
One of the most popular surfing spots on the coast of California, the Wedge sits between a long jetty and a sweep of coastline that allows waves to merge in just the right way to create swells up to 30 feet high. Even if you’re not a surfer, it’s worth a visit to watch the more adventurous visitors catch some waves.
Rent a Boat
Whether you want to paddle for the day in a kayak or charter a yacht, boat rentals abound in Newport Beach. Fishing charters can also be booked if you’d like to attempt some deep sea fishing.
