For some people, it seems like the will to exercise just comes naturally to them. For others, the word exercise leaves you want to crawl back into your bed and forget the thought ever entered your mind.

If you fall into the latter camp, finding motivation to exercise can be a challenge, but it is not impossible. Read on to discover how you can trick yourself into exercising.

Get ready to workout

One of the best ways to trick your mind into working out is to put your gym clothes on at the earliest opportunity. Often, all of the hassle associated with working out, from getting ready to organizing your belongings, can be just as off-putting as the exercise itself. So, if you get ready to work out in the morning, you will be ready to go, and you can get it out of the way before the rest of your day begins.

Scroll through Instagram

Another way to get the motivation you need to workout is to scroll through Instagram. Make sure you are following some health and fitness accounts. There are daily posts that are there to motivate you to achieve more, from fitness quotes and body confidence pictures to advice on workouts and dieting.

Take a 10-minute walk

The chances are that once you are outside, you will be encouraged to push yourself a bit harder. Even if you really don’t feel like it, a 10-minute walk is better for your health than nothing at all, so either way you will have achieved more than you would have.

Put your favorite tunes on blast

One of the best ways to get in the mood to workout is by putting your favorite music on and turning the volume up. Music is a great motivator. It can get you up out of your car and ready to move.

Thank you for sharing this. I’ve stopped jogging since last year of December. So, as of this year, I have not come back yet. A lot has happened ever since this year started for me. I was not active for these whole months, planning to get back to square one. It’s time to focus on another new goal. Anyways, great post!

Getting ready to workout and having definite goals can be really motivating. And when you say make your own gym, I like this idea. There are makeshift equipment you can use that are not costly. And if you want a good investment, then balance ball chairs can do wonder!

This is such a nice and sweet article. In my case, I always write in my journal and meditate to get motivated to workout and be the best version of myself. I also watch motivational videos and films to get pumped up during the day. I wish to lose weight and be healthy. Right now, I am happy with my improvements and will keep moving forward.

Yep, I’m one those that always hated the thought of exercise. I would argue that I got enough exercise at work to call it a workout.

I really like the first tip to motivate my self by getting ready to go early. Actually my motivation to workout now comes from merely skipping a few times. After a day or two with no exercise my energy levels go to pot, and I don’t feel to great. Back to the gym one time, and I’m back to my normal self.
    Thanks

Hi! There are days when I can’t seem to find the motivation to even get out of my bed. What I do is I meditate and lift all my worries to a higher being. As I ask for a divine intervention, I will gradually feel a push to keep moving with my life. Yes, life is very hard and challenging but with the proper mindset, we can all get motivated with our workouts and even everyday living. Thanks for this. Xoxo

Other than that, all the other tips are amazing 🙂 thank you, Cassie! I love your Info and will forever be working out with you!
