We’ve used a miter saw for many projects. Make sure you have somebody to teach you how to properly use this saw. Last thing you want is to lose a finger. That wouldn’t necessarily go with the decor.

In our previous home, we hung a lot of chair rail throughout the house. So, I cut my teeth (no, not literally) over the months and years doing that work.

Where to get your first miter saw? You can check out the one Adam from Lazy Guy DIY has above or search Amazon for all miter saws.

I have compound Miter Saw and have always used. It’s a great beginner saw. I can see how a better saw would be a bit more accurate, but this one actually works really well for the cost. It does bevel cuts and cuts at an angle. It’s also “sliding” which allows for making longer cuts.

For the most part I’m a big fan of the basics. I need a hammer, a couple of screw drivers and I’m good to go. Although having a wet saw is handy when cutting tile 🙂
